The Chileans love the word "tranquilo," which means quiet, but they use it for everything from peaceful to calm to easy-going. I have heard old women tell unruly toddlers to act more tranquilo, had people ask me if it's tranquilo here on the farm, but mostly I hear them describe Sam as tranquilo. And I must admit that he is very peaceful, calm, and easy-going.
